The Best Custom Shutters, Blinds & Shades!
Proudly Serving the Charlotte metro area

Congrats to Sunburst’s newest Share Your Shutters winner: Chelsey Rushworth! Her winning submission to #ShareYourShutters features two rooms in her home decked out with stylish new Polywood faux wood plantation shutters that beautifully accentuate both her ornate window frames and modern decor.

Neutral Living Area With Shutters

Chelsey, who goes by Taste of Coffey on Instagram, is a Boston-based home designer with an eye for color in her home design. A quick look at her home shows how she intersperses whites, off-whites, and muted shades for a look that’s warm and calming, but with an undeniable sense of flair.

Chelsey even offered a few pieces of advice for designers in Charlotte and around the country:

  • Always have a color scheme. When you decorate a room, you can always adjust colors to accessorize it. Try to utilize colors from either your interior color pallet or ones that can accentuate it.

  • Be flexible in how you use colors. We use white shutters and most of our furniture includes shades of gray, both weathered wood and fabric. So we decided to add in pops of color and white accents.

Not only does Chelsey excel at using colors in her design, but the use of space in her home is just as good. From her chairs that lead the eyes vertically to the wall and her classic shutters, to the way her shelving lines up perfectly under the window, Chelsey’s home is fashion-forward, functional, and extremely livable without ever seeming overwhelming.

As our #ShareYourShutters winner this season, Chelsey will receive a gift card to a Boston-area restaurant, in addition to featuring her designs here. To see her entire body of work, visit her design site at TasteofCoffey.com.

And if you think your new shutters look great enough to be a winner, share a photo on social media with the hashtag #ShareYourShutters. We want to see another Charlotte homeowner to take next season’s prize!
